As Realtors photos are one of our best marketing tools… I’m always surprised at the bad ones I see in our MLS. After posting a few on FaceBook I decided to start a collection of bad Real Estate Photos from the MLS. Through the MLS they are syndicated to realestate search portals like Realtor.com or Homes.com for the world to see. We all have properties that don’t photo well or are just messy- but I’m going to try to focus on bad photography.
I am not a photographer and I know it! I hire a professional photographer for the majority of my listings. If time does not allow I will take a few photos but they don’t live on the MLS very long!

I really enjoyed your piece on Northstar MLS a few weeks ago.

If you look hard, you can see the lake the home is on in the background.

Check out the stuffed Pheasant in the bedroom window. When touring this home, we found many other taxidermied animals in this bedroom. We were also greeted on the front porch with a skull bone of unknown species.
Lawn not green? No problem MS Paint saves the day!

Foyer photo at http://www.realliving.com/greg-garrett/homes-for-sale/TX/Lubbock/79424/5616-101st-St-81477186/popup#listingphoto-gallery-large makes me think this home belongs to Addams Family. All photos terrible – distorted – creepy. They used fish eye for every photo.

I like that they didn’t bother to take pictures *before* they winterized the home, so the toilet and shower have blue tape across them.
Just came across your site and it made me smile. Here’s a good one you need to check out. http://www.redfin.com/NV/Las-Vegas/5104-Forest-Oaks-Dr-89149/home/29100197
Barry, I am a REALTOR® in Orlando and just stumbled upon your blog. You had me laughing and calling to my husband, “HONEY! Come look at this!”
it is truly scary isn’t it?
Great job…Thanks again for taking the time to put together such a creative and extensive collection of the WORST in our business 🙂
This one looks like someone saw your site and thought it was a how-to site. It has everything from rampant deer heads to junk to self-captures.
Well, I don’t have any bad photos to send, but I haven’t laughed as hard in a long time. These MLS photos are hilarious!!
As a professional photographer trying to get work in real estate photography, I laugh but I’m sad too. It’s hard to believe that many agents would find the pictures perfectly acceptable. I’m tempted to put up a “hall of shame” page of pictures from my local area, but I don’t want to get the local agents mad at me. I’m asking them for their business after all.
As a pro photographer for the last 7 years I’ve been shocked by the bad photography of real estate that I’ve been coming across. See, I’m house hunting right now and I’ll tell you what…. The poor image quality on listings I’ve been looking at have made me move on to the next property time and again!
Thanks for this site. I’m going to have a little fun looking through your collection of images!
As a prospective buyer, I’m kinda fond of bad photos. I can see past the photographic flaws to look at the house, and meanwhile I hope the mistakes turn people off and lower the price for me!
Here’s a listing for your collection:

I’m from the Seattle, WA area…My husband is in real estate, Bradley Kenning John L. Scott Realty….I love looking at these, and I just found one I thought you should have hahaha
Currently active, a few pictures in is the owner actually smiling for the camera, like the buyer really wants to know who she is and what she looks like…lol
